The company is a successor to Ashida Company, which was founded in 1924 and was the sole Far Eastern distributor of the American company Magnavox. In 1942, the deterioration of Japan-U.S. relations led to a halt in the import of speakers from the U.S., so our founder, Haruo Yanagawa, established the Tokyo Loudspeaker Laboratory with the aim of domestically producing speakers. The following year, in 1943, the company changed its trademark to ASHIDAVOX (VOX means voice or sound in Latin), and in 1950, the company was reorganized as a corporation and established Ashida Acoustics Co., Ltd. For over 80 years since then, the company has played an important role in the audio industry. Since our founding, we have striven to develop products that meet the needs of the times and continue to provide a wide range of highly reliable audio equipment, with the aim of contributing to the realization of a richer society through sound. Our products, born from our unique development philosophy and manufacturing technology, have penetrated deeply into social life and have earned the support and high praise of many customers in various fields both at home and abroad.
